Tuff Skin's ?

Post by Budd Denny »

The end of one of mine that I bought from Buddy has frayed on the last inch or so, and I'm getting tired of poking myself. Will it hurt anything for me to cut the last inch off and tape it? I would use cable cutters so it would be clean cut.
Also I have another 30 collar that just started turning it's self on and off and sometimes the light will stay solid or come on and off with long pauses, is this the battery or just send it in. When I can get it to link up it shows good battery.

The tuff skins have a two year warrenty so if its been less then two years, just send them back to him. I'm not sure but I don't think you want to cut that cable. Is there any way you can wind the strands back together enough to get some shrink wrap around it?

Yea, Ive already done this a couple times and then I hot glued a cap on it that buddy sent me a few of. I thought hot gluing would hold but I've lost all the caps that I just put on a couple weeks ago. The rest I have taped but this one got REALY frayed out some how.

I am having the same issue with a couple of my Tuff skins. I have tried re-shrinking the tips with new shrink wrap but they just end up getting lost again.

Ya, I'm pretty sure they have to be a specific length to work.
