Is it legal to trap a bear in any state?

You can still foot snare bear in Maine, they took the footholds away from them last year I beleave. I should have done it before it ended and I new it was coming

You can cable snair bear in maine ( leg hold) i think you can live trap them also i'll check they used to let you trap a bear on your trapping licence which for non resident's is $300 , now you have to purchase a bear tag also another $68 nonresident . good ole government getting all they can !

You can trap all the bear you want in live traps in Utah. The only hitch is that you have to be wearin brown with a brown truck that says Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.

They live trap them with a modified 55 gallon drum.

dont give them too much credit cause thats one of the only things they seem to get done in this state besides killing off everything else that has a season.... :twisted:

I checked it is legal to catch bear in cage style traps in maine. Their is some reqiurements like has to be surrounded by 2 strands wire at least 1 ft + 3FT OFF GROUND on 3 sides and sighns stateing bear trap few other things
