3/22/08 Hunt

Postby silverton boar dogs » Mon Mar 24, 2008 2:28 am

Had a nice pre-Easter hunt. Emily my wife and I loaded 5 dogs and went on a little hunt here at the house. Weather was good for a change and not much wind. We drove to the back side and put down 4 strike dogs and started driving. 2 miles and no hogs, so we loaded up and kept driving the wind was getting up, Cat winded off the box and I stoped and cut her and Smoke loose. They were gone a few minutes and Smoke checked in and rolled out about the time Cat locked down on a bay, Smoke joined her and they were solid. We drove the 1/4 mile to get close and sent in Ike and Little bulldog. Nice boar, the young Bulldog got a few staples but held well.

I would rather go on a Easter Hog hunt than look for some little eggs anyday......LOL

nice hog! Next time you get a chance I would like to see some more terrain pics from your area.
