Hunting Vest

Post by rhromm »

Is anyone using a tactical style vest for hunting?

I need to know if the front pocket/s are large enough to carry a garmin. It appears large enough to carry a tri-tronics. Has a spot for a phone, skinning knives, and maybe a spot for a water bottle. I am thinking the holster will hold a revolver?? If so it would be better than bright eyes, dans, and other vests. It is also about half the cost.

years ago I wore a timber "cruisers" vest. It was pretty handy with a small build in pack on the back, and good sized pockets. Made pretty tough and could take breaking through the brush.

I just got this.
Fits the astro [ a tad tight ] and the trashbreaker fits well in the smaller pocket. Made to be worn WITH a back pack on, which is perfect for me.

I have one of these vest. It works great. Fits good and the 3 big pockets are good for garmin, shocker. There is another pocket that will fit a radio. The holster is a little iffy, but it has a belt.
