California Anti-Hunting Bill Scheduled for Hearing

California Senate Bill 1221, which bans the use of dogs when hunting bears and bobcats, has been scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday, April 24th. The bill will be heard by the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee at 9:30 am (room to be determined). It is vital that sportsmen contact their senators in opposition prior to this meeting.

The bill, which is sponsored by the nation’s largest animal rights organization—the Humane Society of the United States— has unified hunting organizations throughout California and across the country.

A big THANK YOU to you and the US Sportsmens Alliance for putting this together to help us Houndsmen out!

I've used some of the material to educate my friends who hunt but don't hunt with hounds. I've found that once people understand what it is all about they are supportive. Also, all sportsmen need to realize that HSUS and their ilk are against ALL hunting. They are using a divide and conquer strategy and won't stop with bears, bobcats, etc. That's why we MUST stand together and not give any ground.
