Gascon?

can anyone clear up wat a gascon hound is? wat is the difference between a bluetick and a gascon?

Gascon are Bluetick, UKC registered, They are also register under the ABGHA if they pass standards. Basically another group of Bluetickers that had there own ideas and can't get along with the rest of the bluetickers and started there own group like the BBOA and BBCHA.

and kept the old lines old instead of going the way of the competition hound ( small, squeaky )


Standard bred ( competition ) on right of tree,
Gascon bred in center, and Gascon pup on left of tree.








size, cold nosed, booming voice, a bit slower to grab a tree are the differences I see in
them.

the gascons tend to be much larger and longer eared ,,lot of em all blue to,,,much heavier though
