NM game regulation changes

Post by L2HF2W »

So,

What do you guys think?
It looks like year round lion season with quotas in place.

Roadkill and depredation does not go towards quotas.

Also you can get a second lion tag if desired?

I need some input, so I can recommend ideas.

I like the sound of it.
If any outfitters took G & F to court saying "We couldn't fill our hunter's tags because they counted depredation against the quota and shut the unit down.", game and fish would be liable for unlawful interference with the livelihood of the outfitter. Lion hunts running $3000-$8000, it could get pretty expensive!
I think the proposed changes would please everyone involved. Hopefully, the same changes will be made with the bear quotas.
