Post by bowtech36 »

Are there any night hunts that aren't ukc or one thats doesn't have any registration neccessary, one that anyone can hunt there dog in for fun and experience. I havent found one and i don't understand, your getting peoples money so you think you would benifit from it, it would be fun and lot of people have some great cross breeds or just not reg dogs?

The biggest issue and one we face even in the UKC is PLACES to HUNT. Not everyone has a good place to coon hunt, and the ones that do aren't going to take everyone and there brother there and show them where it is. For liability reasons and the fact that people will go back and treaspass and kill all the coons. Lot of land owners don't allow you to take people hunting on there land, your lucky to have permission yourself. If you want to do a hunt on public land, well, you can do that yourself anyday.

If you advertise this big coon hunt open to any and all dogs, and you get 25 people to show up expecting you to take them hunting somewhere they can catch coons. What then? I don't know of anyone that can arrange that type of thing. We can barely pull it off with 2 casts of UKC dogs.
