advice for short bed box

Post by peachtree »

im making a two level box for a short bed. the catch is i need it to fit in front of the goose neck hitch. the box can only be 22 inches deep. my dogs are smaller around 40 pounds . the planned dimensions for the box 22deepx42tallx5footwide. i am just trying figure out if 22 is to small and i am wasting my time. any input on this would be helpful . thanks a lot matt

I think you'll be fine each box will be 22x21x60 without a divider you could probably haul 3-4 dogs in each one

I was just looking for the same info, do you think it would be best out of 1/2 ply or frame it and try to find some old road signs that they want to get rid of to sheet it as long as the painted part is inside of the box? with a wood floor or alumium floor and rubber liner? We always just use to tie our dogs off until one caught a hot sent going down the hwy did not turn out well lost a good dog when my buddys dad was bringing him into town for us that afternoon. So i dont want the same thing to happen again.
