Well Folks, those Ole non Treeing Running Walkers have been at it here in the South East.
Yall have been reading Gary Roberson's post about Joe Braman having a good weak, well the same Rain that helped him do so well has moved East. This has sure helped the Hounds smell the Ole Shorttail!
The fact that the Bobcat Rut is on is helping as well!
Mr. Harold Parker and Jimmy Jackson in MS have had a good week.
Two fellows from NC are up hunting with Don Moran in Taylor Co. Florida north of us and have caught 7 Toms last I heard.
Vacathunter and his good friend Mr. Curlin have been sacking them up after good Races in VA.
Even ole Perk with his nice Fox Hounds caught two Sunday!
But best of all Alabamacathunter ran one almost two hours this morning and caught her in a real "Hellhole". I hope he gets on here and tells us all about it!
As for us, well the score is now 40 since we arrived here on Jan. 17th. The Races have not been as long as we would have liked but with no water in the woods the Cat's bag of Tricks is limited! We caught a Nice Tom in the "Hellhole" Ole David saw when he was here last year after an hour and a half's Race. I retrieved the Cat.....almost a mistake....will post the Tale tomorrow!

Sounds like everyone is taking advantage of the weather and putting it on the short tails. Joe is giving the cats a break as he is in Spain this week. I have a wreck at my place with most everything in heat and one at the vet clinic with some strange intestinal infection. Hope to get everything going as I want to make a trip out west to prove or disprove all the stories I am hearing about 50 pound cats. I want to shoot it for CARNIVORE...maybe like the Sasquatch show, might be chasing a ghost.
Adios,
Gary
