wolf hunting in Montana

I will be up around Missoula for 12 days around late Dec and would like to try wolf hunting. Ive never wolf hunted and need some direction. I plan on locating winter elk herds and hike until i see wolves or tracks. Two areas im looking at are around Wisdom and up north of Clearwater Jct. I would like to hear anyone stories or advice.
