Hey guys, just wanted to get the word out on an upcoming event we're having here in southeast Idaho. Over two weeks ago a good friend and hunting partner along with his wife lost their 2 year old son in a tragic accident. For those of you who have lost a loved one we know the loss of a child or one dear to us is a life changing event. Not only emotionally but financially. A couple of buddies along with myself are having some competition water races this Saturday the 10th. Sign ups will be from 8 to 9 am with a minimum donation of 5 dollars per entry. We will have food and raffle items as well. There will also be a California hog hunt for two up for grabs. Norm Green from the Alliance of Dogmen has been very generous to donate this hunt to help our cause and for that we are very grateful. Every single penny of this event will be dontated to the Hall family. Also, that very evening we'll be holding a benefit coon hunt for both individual and group hunters. It will be a 10 dollar minimum donation per entry with an additional 5 dollars per additional hound entered. On the invidual class, he/she who catches the most coons by Sunday morning will be awarded a Mossberg .22 semi auto Plinkster that was donated by Bob and Toms Big Boar guns in Blackfoot, Idaho. A special thanks to Tom and Bob for their kindness in helping with our cause. On the group class, the group with the most coons by Sunday morning will be awarded $300 dollars in gift certificates to Double U Hunting supply. A very special thanks to our very own Buddy for his contribution in this cause as well. Sign ups for the night hunt will be at the pond where the water races will be held. The water races will occur near Ririe, Idaho. Find the Maverick gas station. Main St. runs right beside it. Follow Main St. till it hits Smith St. Take a right at Smith St. and follow it out of town. It will eventuall turn into 4700 E. Continue and look for 150 N. The pond will be your first left after you pass 150 N.
I'd like to ask every one who has time this weekend to join our cause in helping a family in need. It'll be a guaranteed good time not to mention an opportunity to show people that houndsmen/women know how to take care of their own. If you can't make the event yet would like to make a contribution in a monitary form or a raffle item please call me at 208-520-1570
Thanks,
Nater
