Old wise tale?

I got told the longer 2 dogs stay tied up the more pups you end up with, I just smiled but he seemed to believe it just wondering what every body's thoughts are? He said if there knoted over 20 min be ready for 12+ pups. just one of them ideas I guess. Thanks

Age and health of the female will play the biggest part of litter size.
