Crazy Cascade blueticks

Post by Redbonehunter12 »

Hello all, I am looking for some info on ccb. Anybody ever bought dogs from steve, how is he to deal with? And is anyone running hounds from his stock on cats?
Thanks, Evan

I don't know Steve and I don't know his dogs. They may be great, maybe not. If I was going to dedicate $1000 I would buy a pup from a solid breeder for 300-400 (easily done) and find a good ol pup trainer dog 9 or 10 year old dog to help teach your pup what he was born and bred to do. I don't think I could ever justify a $1000 for a coondog pup. No disrespect, just how I feel.

The reason no one is answering your questions is because, most of us have a love for hounds and hound hunting and we do not raise and hunt hounds for profit and we sure do not steal the hard work of others.
Del spent a lifetime breeding his hounds and the fellow you mention is using Mr. Cameron’s name and idea’s for profits and after a few generations it blew up, and if you have an eye for Cameron hounds it’s easy to tell the difference.
The good breeders use their own name, because they know once you start breeding, it changes everything and they are no longer the same. When you have really good hounds, you do not have to tell anyone, they will speak for themselves.
Trust me he is no Del Cameron.
