it seems early season you may find one, two maybe three a day and other times you may beat your own a** trying to find a track.

Most days one or two tracks. Once in a while in perfect conditions you can find three or four. I have caught 5 in a day[ I left the house a 3:00 am and got back at 1:00 am the next morning]. I have caught 4 on a few days when I could hunt California. Three here on the snow or bare ground quite often. Dewey

Dewey 5 in less than 24 hours is quite impressive. I am assuming you covered a lot of ground to find that many good tracks or is it an area that does not get hunted much? I can not imagine cutting that many good tracks here much less tree that many in 24 hours most I have treed in a day was 2 and that was luck. Usually I am lucky to hunt a hole day after good snow and cut one good catchable track. Some days I cant find one to save my life. Take care

BrandonCombe: Everything has to be just right for that to happen here for me. I hit the first track 7:00 AM and treed the last one at 9:00 PM. I cut 8 tracks that day, trailed two out of the snow and the dogs lost them. One was on bare ground. It was in a area that is hunted some and I have hit hard running cats there that run the blow down timber but none did that day. The dogs were in top shape but were totally gave out and did not tree well on the last one which was the hardest running one. I caught 4 last year in 5 hours, the first one was a 30 pound tom that they ran down and killed on the ground. We hit a pocket that the cats were really moving in, all were large cats 3 big toms. I had a lot of tracks to pick from so I picked the easy ones. I as anyone will trail bobs that I don't jump but If I jump them I usually catch them. In the high country when the snowshoes concentrate in blow down thickets so will the bobcats. Some years those places snow out on the first snow fall others I can get there a time or two. I learned years ago that I did far better driving 3 or 4 hours to get above or below a storm in good cat populations then hunting the same old spot and complain about the rain, snow dripping from the trees, to frozen, to dry ect....
