Bobcat hunters are?

Post by Big Game Joe »

After reading alot of the posts in all subjects on this forum, it seems to me that you bobcat hunters are the philosophers of the hounding world. You guys put so much thought into what it really takes to make a bobcat dog and be a bobcat hunter. Not that the others don't, but it seems like this is the most difficult game to successfully master, and probably requires the most thought to become a Bobcat Master. Without meeting any of you, I can tell just by your posts over the years that there are quite a few Masters here. Hope to get involved in some of your discussions as there is much to be learned from The Masters.

WELL--you failed to mention that you have to be "NUTS", cannot pass any type of mental test, helps to not be married(unless you have trained on them for 40-50 years like some of our wives), have a large nest egg or income that you do not have to work, expect as normal to subsist on limited amount of sleep at one time, have neighbors that ignore or put up with a dog kennel full of barking hounds when you cannot get them out of the kennel due to weather, deer hunting, ill, etc., also those same that have time understanding why you really need 15-20 hounds around, and I could go on and on. If needed, I could always contact Hootie, Marion, Billy S, Mr. Bill C., Johnny B, Carl C, (& that list goes on & on) with request that they provide some more sane reasons why you need to be a "Bobcat Hound Hunter"!

Reminds me of the saying--the older I get and the more I attempt to hunt/train cat hounds---the dumber & more confused I get!

Merry Christmas & good luck to everyone,
