New Years eve memorable moments

Many years ago a friend and I were hunting on a cold New Years eve. The dogs started a track (bobcat?) and treed a few times. Each time the race started again before we could get to the tree. The area had only small oak trees. Some time, way in the middle of the night, we were sitting on the side of a hill, in the cold, gasping for breath. Friend turns to me and says, "You know, our wives think we are really having fun."
