Grizzly with hounds in BC

BC houndsmen,
I have heard through the grapevine there may be a push to outlaw hound hunting grizz as well a black bear.
You boys in the Kootenay's which are in the know, have you heard anything?
Regulation changes are happening this year for 2016 so if we need to fight this lets get on it.

I have brought this up to the BCWF but they have not shown any interest in responding to this as I am one of the evil outfitters.

Let me know if you have any info, I am heading to the outfitters convention which we will be dealing with regulation changes.

One of the fellows that was sitting in one the regulation meetings about a year ago. I thought it may have been hear say but have heard since then that there may be something to it.

unless I hear something a bit more definitive I cant say it would fly. I heard a rumor 15 years ago then ten and so on.

I know it was brought up at our local hound club meeting recently that they are looking at attacking grizz with hounds and removing the bear with hounds period. There are SOME outfitters that do not want hound hunting for bears.

I know the grizzly with hounds has been an issue.All it would take is some hunter posting some graphic footage from a dog camera to seal the deal. I hope everyone uses some common sense and keeps any marginal footage at home.

That is what our club has told members as well. Keep the footage OFF the internet. Share it at home with buddies. Because it was just that, youtube videos that got this started.
