Eastern ND or Western MN

Have been toying with the idea of possibly taking a trip out there next fall for a few days or a week to kill some coon. Any recommendations of where to go or where to avoid? Would be fun to maybe meet up with someone around there to hunt with but doesn't matter. Plan to hunt just public land. PM me if you want. Thanks

Nobody on here is from out that way? Don't want to take any body's hunting grounds just looking for a trip and some fun and could hook someone up with a bear hunt/ training or both.

Carl, I have never hunted western Minnesota or Eastern ND. But I have hunted a few places in Wisconsin where you are from. Why in the world would you leave Wisconsin to go coon hunting? I know for a fact there are thousands of coon walking around in Wisconsin tonight!

But if you want to make that trip for an adventure, I can understand. This board has a small number of coon hunters compared to some other boards that focus primarily on coon hunting. I am not sure of the name of them. But I know the UKC boards have a huge following of coon hunters. Maybe try posting over there.

If you want to coon hunt in NW North Dakota come on out. No trees, and For the life of me I can't figure out where the coon live here. But there are a few. I will try to help you find one.

I can't think of any public land in Eastern ND, but if you find large tracts of it there and it is good coon habitat, I might be able to drive over there and meet you if you want some company. Let me know.

David, you are correct, it would mainly be for the adventure of it and it would be a "cheaper" trip for me. I will be checking our more of eastern ND for more public land. I do have good coon hunting here it would just be fun for a change of scenery and maybe better hides or bigger coon? I'll keep you in mind and let you know if I work something out. Thanks.
