Very good, you told me the other day you were going out to give a stock killer a try. It is something to catch a cat in the heat and lack of moisture in most of Texas this time of year that you guys deal with this time of year. Tell us the story behind this hunt. Looking forward to you coming out to hunt this fall or winter. Dewey
This was a really neat hunt for me watching all my dogs and young dogs cold trail and grind on the track in that rugged dry rock country was something else they work there butts . They cold trailed this cat for 2 hours before getting him jumped down in a big deep solid rock canyon . They poured the coals to him for about 20 minutes before they bayed him in a cave . The cat covered around 6 miles from where they started him.
So that is Ray Melton? I have heard of him for years but for some reason or another, never had the opportunity to meet him. Great photos and a good lion for that country. Congratulations!
Adios,
Gary
