Lynx pelt

Post by Tanner Peyton »

A friend of mine gave me a lynx pelt. I seriously can't get over how big these things feet are. Blows my mind how disproportionately there are to the rest of there body. I'll bet these things can really move fast on the snow. Probably a pretty big challenge to tree one. Neat animal for sure. You guys that have umm are lucky.

I don't have hardly any experience with Lynx, and the one I was on was by mistake. I had some really good lion dogs on it, and the snow was rather deep because it was high country. Maybe he was just smart or lucky but even though the track was fresh and they had it jumped he made us look stupid!

Probably a good thing, I am sure he was wearing a collar and if we had treed him we most likely would have had company. LOL!
