Hounds Let e Down

So I took the hounds pheasant hunting today, and as I thought they didnt find anything, but then again I originally took em just to run around and hopefully flush birds, unfourtunatly today wasnt the day, lol.
So im looking for a upland dog as well as a pup I can use for retrieving too, Anyone have any thoughts?
Im partial to Springer Spaniels but am open to other breeds, as long as they can get the job done.

if you just want to try something different that works the same you might try a boykin spaniel. they can range from cocker to springer in size (occasionally even larger).
