I have a 2.5 y.o. spayed german shorthaired pointer that has an issue with her bladder from time to time. Since moving to Oregon about a year and a half ago, once every few months or so, she pees while asleep. It wakes her up, and she is ashamed, but I can't figure out what to do. A couple of nights ago, it was two times in one night!
I have had a couple of UA's done on her, but the vet was kind of vague. He said she had crystals in her urine, but it didn't appear that she had a bladder infection. He suggested a really expensive "specially formulated" dog food.
Nothing has changed with her diet with the exception that she went from well water in Montana to city water in Oregon. Any suggestions? Please no jokes about a cent and a half, she is pretty special to me....
