vest

Post by jlyman »

I seen this guy the other day out bear hunting that had a jacket or vest on his rigg dogs. Is there a place to buy them or are they just a thing that that guy made for himself. I think that it would be a good idea when it is cold for the wind chill.

Thanks
Jim

Just about any bird dog supply place will have them. Do yourself a favor and buy the better quality ones like those that LL Bean offers. They are easy to put on , they stay on and they last. About $38. each and you can buy some from Boatman that are about 1/2 but they certainly are not as good.

This is a good idea in areas where trigger happy deer or varmint hunters may be out there. It usually makes them think twice about pulling the trigger when they see the orange vest. Maybe their old hunter's education training kicks in. LOL!

Don't use those neoprene waterfowl vest too confining and too hot. The other light vest are fine for you to run them with they are designed for hard working pointers and such.
