Penicillin G Procaine Antibiotic use

Can anyone give me some advise on the dosing for a hound with this? Is it the same as with larger animals? I would prefer another alternative, but this dog really needs and antibiotic and this is the only thing available for a few days. The bottle reads 1Ml per 100Lbs for Cattle... So i would imagine .5ml for a 50-60 lb hound? It also recommends inserting the needle in the rear flank, drawing back to ensure no blood and giving the injection. It doesnt say how much, or how frequent. If it helps what i have is a 100ml bottle of 300,000 units per ml. If anyone has any experience with this i could use your advise. Thanks!

body weight daily by intramuscular injection
at 24-hour intervals. Continue
treatment at least 48 hours after symptoms
