Still getting started, need advice on Tracking system

Postby Clint G » Wed Mar 25, 2009 11:35 am

Hello, I just got a couple old hounds, and I was wondering what would be the most efficient/economical way to track my hounds. I only have two dogs, and I was hoping to keep the price down to make the missiz happy. I was looking in the magazines and it seems the Tracker Classic is the most affordable 2 dog system? Is the Garmin really illegal in California? Thanks for any help/advice.

Garmin is illegal in Ca. If anyone tells you different call your local fish and game warden and ask them. If you want the specific F&G section to read for yourself let me know. As far as economical I really don't know but you'll be satisfied with any of the major brands, Wildlife, Marshall, Quick Trak, etc. Good luck.

Clint, there are alot of good trackers out there. Since you're just getting started I would look at getting a used system. You can get a nice used system at a really good price. Then after a few years if you think this (hounds) is what you want to spend all your time and money on you can buy a new system if need be. JMO.
