just as expected...
Today in class, i got into an argument with another kid about wolves. He was trying to tell me that the Canadain gray wolf is native to the U.S. and i told him they were intoduced. He wouldn't have any of that and then i said think what you want and then it turned into the gray wolf is going wipe out all the elk deer moose and even all the other types of wolves. He said that they are no danger to the population of any of these species then i showed him some number from the site some one posted a while back. that shut him up. then i told him how they are a danger to peoples dogs he said that they are afraid of dogs!so i told him about the fella who lost his dogs to a wolf pack and that legally you cant kill the wolves even if they are mauling your dogs. he said good those dogs deserve every bit of it hunting is cruel. oh man that got me goin. then of course the whole class went into how cruel hunting was and it was me V.S. the class just like during the election i was the only supporter of mccain. I guess thats what happends when you go to a liberal school. anyway, my reasoning for posting this is just to show how many people disagree with hunting and rational thinking for that matter. just goes to show there is no arguing with crazy.

you sound like a wise young man. first line of business, never argue with a liberal they are miss guided.miss informed. hunting is not cruel. mother nature is cruel. introducing a species of animal( canadian wolves) that is non-indigenous to a region is cruel. controlled hunting statistically reduces disease, over grazing, over population. this trumps non management techniques recomended by the friends of animals. allowing mother nature to provide for any species is sure to end up in a disaster.also when was the last time a liberal made a contribution to wildlife habitat? or installed a water guzzler in the desert.or planted trees in a water shed area to protect from erosion? ask your entire class what they did to help wildlife! you will find the same old answer nothing. sportsmen are the only people who truly care for all the animals in the woods. they spend millions of dollars to protect animals and insure its future. liberals the last time i checked spent 0 dollars. don't lower your self to there level. i commend you for standing up to those who are just wrong.

I always like to add that sportsmens groups, hunting clubs, and Agencies funded by hunters have done more for HABITAT (the most important part of wildlife management) than any non hunting or "environmental" group has ever done. All those groups do is make money into noise. Some flower sniffing do gooder in the city donates because they think they're doing the right thing, while another do gooder gets rich on account of it. It's a scam, and they hire lots of foolish pseudo-scientists to make outrageous claims that people will believe.
Mother nature is indifferent to "cruelty" or "meanness". Hunters play a vital role in management of wildlife and in return they spend lots of time and money helping the animals they enjoy (or at least THEY SHOULD BE DOING THAT). I like to ask anti's if they have ever been on a hunt- they don't understand that the hunt is about being in the woods and being a part of the course of nature, it's not about the kill. Anti's just don't seem to understand without being along on a hunt. It's tough; I have only ever swayed one person, and they became a hunter after a trip to the woods.
I studied wildlife biology at a (kinda) liberal college an had to make this argument quite a lot. Well meaning people are spoonfed garbage and they take it willingly...it defies logic. Now, I'm a professional wildlife biologist and have to answer lots of questions about population dynamics, wolf recovery, hunting and habitat management. Be wary of the 'sky is falling' folks as well. Believe it or not there are things that a properly managed wolf population can do to help the wildlands and the habitat.
