Companies That Support Anti Hunting

Post by liontracker »

Just wondering if it would be worth while to start a list on here of known Anti hunting supporters. Maybe if we were informed we could boycott their services and products.
Seems like with the current economy, this could make a difference.

It may not do much good, but it may. I would like to see it and contribute. Maybe also a list of companies whos goods come from overseas. Though that list may be to long to fit in Buddy's server!

I believe that's a good idea, to boycott the ones that are anti hunting.... It might not make a difference but I would do it anyway if I knew, as a matter of principle...
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Wow, I had no clue craigslist was tied in with PETA somehow. I'll have to look into that to confirm, but that makes me realise I'd definitely like to see the list as well just for general knowledge even if the whole boycotting their products doesn't work out. Good idea

I was looking into putting up my pups on there and was trying to read the rules all I could find was notes from PETA about dogs. The more I looked the more I found and it was all from PETA. That was all on there site.

If they do, then PETA wouldn't have to be start this petition drive.

http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/craigs_list_animals

I have had no problems with my ads looking for hunting land for running rabbits with my hounds. I just met a bird hunter last week who answered my ad and invited me up to his land to see if it would be suitable to run hounds on.

Craiglist is a community based site so Craiglist may be different in your area, but in my area, hunting supplies, hunting land, and etc are advertised. Just like EBAY, there is a list of prohibited items that can not be posted. Farms animals are allowed, but regular animal sales is for adoption only or to free homes.

Thanks Buckshot as I said when I was looking up the rules its was all I could find on there was stuff from PETA all over the place this might be why they put it up. I know that here in Cal. if it says anything to do with hunting or hounds it gets flagged so fast I know thats not Craigslist doing it its all the antis here in Cal its like a breeding ground for them. I think the state gives them a tax brake it they bend over and shove there head (well you know). Thanks for showing us that. All I had to go on was what I found when I got on there looking at the rules.

This is one from the HSUS site.

1.The Humane Society of the United States has teamed up with Microsoft to be a part of i'm™, a new initiative from Windows Live Messenger and now, Windows Live Hotmail!

How It Works

Each time you send a message using Windows Live Messenger or Windows Live Hotmail, Microsoft shares a portion of the program's advertising revenue with some of the world's most effective organizations dedicated to social causes, including The Humane Society of the United States. All you have to do is sign up!

2.For every $100 in purchases you make with this exclusive card, Bank of America will provide 25 cents to The HSUS. In addition, for a limited time, Bank of America will make a $50 donation to The HSUS after qualifying transactions.

Yes, since it's community based, then users can flag it to have the content removed -- even if the content is valid -- the system works on how many flags it gets then the ad is deleted out -- the ANTI's know how the system works and take advantage of it.

I seen ads in in the Music section on our area Craigslist where guys are flagging each other ads to have them deleted cause they are selling the same item and don't want the other one's ad up at the same time. Then whine to each other about doing it to one another.

The sytem is flawed on the flags is all it takes is person/people to screw you over having a valid ad deleted is to flag it.

So far, I haven't had any issues with the hunting related ads on our area Craiglist. I'm in Alabama, alot of outdoorsmen down here -- but we still have the wackos....It's obvious by the Rant section. LOL

Tim, I think it's a great idea. I just recently renewed my NRA membership. We need to do more if we want things to change. Every single person who takes the time to do one thing, starts change!

Pepsi is tied in with PETA and Ford used to be. That is until the cattlemens assn. wrote them a letter letting them know that all cattlemen ranchers and farmers would boycot.

Thats what we need to do we need to get this list then write letters letting them all know we will stop using, buying, supporting in any way if they support the antis. And we need to let other hunters know about this as well. PETA and HSUS are not just gunning for the hound hunters. The more numbers of people we can get to write the better chance we have of them dropping there support. At the same time we need to be looking to get support for our sport and all sports. If anyone know some people that are big in the NRA and USSA we need to get them on board with us. If they can get there members to write letters to then we might just hit them where it hurts the pocket book. And after all these antis can push all the B.S. they want but we all know outfits like the HSUS dont care about shit its all about money to them.

Ok one of the internet gurus needs to start a web site that lists the companies...maybe with contact information.. or maybe just being on the list will be enough to discourage them from supporting the anties.. I bet most hunting websites wouldn't mind having a link or whatever to this site.. and a way people can contribute...?? Maybe ..??
