Here's what I know.. I wasn't at the meeting in salem, I wasn't near the state. I haven't even gotten the full scoop on what happened. Only that it sounded like the Represenative shut them down, and didn't give them any positive feedback. I do know that Mike Martell and one other guy, Dewey went in to talk to them in closed doors I'm looking forward to finding out the Real scoop.

OUSDA needs to find something to do. Period.
OUSDA needs to find something to win. Period.
We need to build up moral, because right now it's a mess. And this bickering sure doesn't help.

Rod was a great man, and he did an outstanding job, but even he didn't know what the next step would be with the Oregon Cougar Plan. The last time I talked to rod, (the Night before he passed away) He told me that if it passed F' It he was going hunting until he got caught... I'm sure he was just pissed, and blowing off steam, and would have cooled off. He was hoping that the ANTI's would find a way to sue and stop this Cougar plan. Apparently that didn't happen.

I beleive This Oregon Cougar Plan is what did Rod in, I believe it was this fight, that partially caused his Heart attack 1 week before this was in salem.

I've called Rod's wife, talked to Rod's closest friends trying to figure out what he would do and what we should do. Rod is the Guy that Told me personally that we have to stop attacking ODFW.. and start attacking the Governor.

Yet here we are attacking ODFW, Rod didn't Talk about things. He figured out a way to do them..

Fact.. At every Meeting Tim has asked the group if anyone wanted to take over the President position..

back in the day i was labeled an out right renegade son of a bitch by ousda. a person who should not be allowed to step one foot on the premise.37 years later those same people who made those claims one in particular was your president of your association that was convicted of 28 counts of illegal hunting. loss of hunting 5 years, fines, restitution. i hunted hard and tree a shit pot load of bears. this was my crime. as of today mike has a u.s passport. mike has paid a lifetime of game violations of 0 nada! all in the same breath all involved keep hanging on to this p.o.s.you want to know what problem i have with ousda. ron anglin even stated johnny is bad new for the hound hunter in oregon.last year i decided to drive up and join after being out over 20 years. i figured this clicky crap may be over. there sit johnny. as for the salem meeting i was looking tim cook in the eyes when i quote( kill e'm all and let god sort them out)or lets just drop the bomb. ldcloud said i'm with mike. a very nice lady libby and her husband were present and said nothing. i'm done with the mealy mouthing odfw, osp. tim cook, larry sowa, dewey walton, tim pittman wanted diplomacy. we didn't even bring up snares one time. we mentioned being picked on by everybody for the simple things like roading our dogs,(bird nesting) and what the state paid for cougar removal that was it. rep. sprenger r. is so bought and paid for by the liberals it ain't funny. if she is conservative than we are had. force, force, and more force. this is all they understand. kick there legs out from under them and be done with it.i think one of what you guys call my followers, john said the same thing. do i look like i need a spokes person and someone to hold my hand? i'm not telling no one what to do, but my guess is this. i have a bunch of people who think along the same lines. call them followers. i really think these people are just fed up with the ousda crap, and the odfw crap as well. bottom line. odfw knows they have us in a corner. we aren't willing to make a stand. odfw will not give us the time of day, because they know how weak we are.

WOW, I wonder where people are getting the info that I hunt for the state and the timber companys, that's pretty funny. I'm a layed off timber faller, If I was working and happen to fall a tree on a cougar or bear I guess that would put me as helping the state or timber companys out, but that's never happend and I don't see it happening any time soon. As for the meeting this weekend I won't be peddeling anyware I'm going to go to the meeting like I do every year, I'm going to ask EVERYONE not just one person, what we as a group want OUSDA to do, Just like I do every year. WE'RE going to have to pick one thing at a time and go for that one thing before WE move on to the next. I'm pretty sure this year we'll have some input on what WE want OUSDA to do.

This is a new year. While everyone has been creating division on this website some have been planning an organized and facilitated way to work with the active members (members who show up) of OUSDA. Following this meeting it is our goal to have a plan driven by the active members of OUSDA.

I invite everyone to come and participate. I have no interest in running background checks or in who works for, or volunteers for whom. If we start dividing based on legal issues where will we draw the line? If you have been convicted of a felony, a speeding ticket, a DUII or may if you have been convicted of a "birdnesting violation". Maybe desired game we could have "Oregon United Bear Hound or Cat Hound Association".I only care that you are ethical to your dog and wildlife "now". People change (not all)……Following ten years of working with felons I know this to be fact. I'm not defending this Johnny fella or his past I'm only making a point. The reality is that his (Johnny)being president tells me that someone must have voted for him.

This club is going to change and change in a great way. We have some great members and some new blood willing to step up and get something done.

tim, i agree with you on this one particular thing.but that is about all! larry cooper hasn't returned my e-mail. i hope he is going to be a guest speaker. tim last years meeting was a three ring circus. if someone does not make a total stand to give the guest respect,and there ut most attention. my recomendation is to stop the meeting and escort them out the door. i'm coming to resolve this. i will not tollerate any hostility for or against.your first words as president shoud be. i'm placing everyone on notice right from the get go, any out burst and your ass is gone. no talking over the guest. last year i din't hear a word the guest said. by now we have a good idea what each is thinking. lets just vote on a plan of action. one suggestion. if you are a member of ousda and you happen to be on odfw's payroll, you are exempt from voicing a say. this being a direct conflict of interest for ousda.we need to quit letting the fox guard the chicken coop!

don gilbert, well said. i accept this, i will put hostility in the memory bank. i'm just not willing to spend a day of fighting. this is a family function, this topic trumps all others, we need to focus on what ousda stands for and go from there, if i don't agree, so be it. i just walk. i recommend all others to do the same.

larry, the problem i had with ted is he pushed me aside, this is how i got to talk to ron anglin in the first place. that being said if we storm him and his staff, they will have no choice but to listen. we seen with our own eyes that day at the capitol, the power of those activist sitting with the signs on the steps of our white house. ch.6 news was there. all we need is activism. i quote a hound hunter from arizona who stated. one person can start a whole bunch of brush fires! think about the words, not literally but from an activist perspective. gotta go to camp adair now and get my coyote permit.....

Mike, I'm also very pleased that you said what you said about being polite, and respectful, Not over talking ect, this is a huge Problem, and I hate it... I 100% agree and think this is a must, and we should hear everyones perspective even if we don't agree .. I personally will stand up and vote or what ever is needed to allow you or any other's your Fair share time to speak and say your Peace.

Some how we have to figure out how to organize that meeting, and Re-Organize OUSDA if it's going to be effective.. That Bussiness meeting is the Worst part of the day for me (at least it has been in the years past), Some times I wonder if I should just skip it..

I don't think.. (I don't know?) but I don't think ODFW will be a quest speaker. Regardless we have more problems right now to worry about than what ODFW says.

I'm sorry I have not gotten to meet with you, Like I said I wanted to before this meeting.

We owe it to our members to get this meeting organized and productive. It is our resposibility as Directors to make this happen.

I for one am very opptimistic that things will go in a productive direction. I have been reading these messages and hearing passion and motivation. I only hope that we as a team can harnest this and strategically utilize it.
