BREAST CALLOR OR BRITCHIN

Postby sawtooth » Sat Sep 19, 2009 3:26 pm

A friend of bought a mule so we went for a ride up a trail near home. The mountin range I live by is like the steepest anywhere considering the rise in elevation and the width of the base. As we were part way up I was reminising on the last time I rode up that trail. I was riding a mare of mine that dsoesn't have a real prominant wither. As I was riding down my saddle kept slipping down on to her neck. I had to walk most of the way off that mountain, may feet were worn raw.
It was then I realized that my friend was going to be in a perdicament when we started back down cause he was on a mule having no wither and he didn't have a crupper or a britchen. So took off my breast collar and made a half assed britchen out of it. Worked like a charm.

It looked like a T-back mule thong

Now that is the way things should be! Got a problem, find some twine string and problem goes away. As long as they are making twine string, and there are people who know how to use it, our country has a good future!!!!
