Re: Lion hunters only: Vote for your states top lionhunter

I'll second Kevin Allred, and his partner Kevin Hall who worked with him and is still at it in Idaho. Both started out in the Salmon River country with Doc Smith. Hall's BluffCreek Toto is still a legend in this state for the shear number of lions caught by one dog.

Re: heres one for all you to droole over

Saying it's thick and nasty over there is the understatement of the decade. Not only is it thick, everything is covered with thorns, and seeing 10 yards is rare sometimes. A bear could drag an anchor in that crap and still give the dogs a bad time for hours.

Re: Question for you long time plott guys

In this day and age of the wolf, who wants a dog that heads into never-never land to find a track? or finds one out of hearing? I would be happy with how your dogs hunt, the other guy must like to drop his off in the morning and come back and find them after he's done with golf in the afternoon ...

What in the hell does the guy your learned from have to do with you talking crap on the internet? Didn't know I said anything about him, just you. But if he's the hunter you claim he is, he'll think your post was stupid too.

Now that's some of THE WORST advice, crap, and opinion that has been printed on any site.

There has been "good blooded" culls around longer than "brush stomper"

BEWARE OF THE HUNTER THAT HAS NEVER HAS A CULL!

Re: Comparing hounds

I bought G2 six dog system for a reason, and it wasn't to use it on them in the truck, or at the tree. I drag them back and get them calmed down, AND THEN, expect them to follow me back out. I don't even want a dog that can be called off a tree or bay. Some people do, whatever trips your trigger man ...

Kevin, Buddy was bred to a Salmon River bitch, and produced some pretty good pups. If I remember right Buddy was accidentally hanged. Dale was a friend of friends.

KEVIN D
Would you happen to be talking about Meddock's 'GO BUDDY' in Salmon? I have friends there that say he was one of the best to ever go through that country. We have some dogs that go back to him.

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

I'm a Plott guy from North Idaho, what's the breeding in your dogs?

Good to hear you have a couple kids to get out and play with. I have 4 boys.
