Bird hunting
Has anyone ever seen a cur dog or feist bird hunt regularly? I'm looking for a dog and although I do mostly bird hunting, I'm looking at getting into both squirrel hunting and some yote decoying. The problem is I can only have one dog at the moment.

Re: New Jersey Houndsmen
Not really. Don't know where you are in your education, but, after you move, you will probably want to get a second dog to run on bear.
Where I am in NY, we can only chase bear legally for a few months in the summer, and only during daylight hours. When we're nite hunting for coon, the dogs do ...

New Jersey Houndsmen
I was wondering what the houndsmen in New Jersey run your dogs on. And how hard is it to get on some decent land with game on it. I'm interested in running some hounds but worried about not being able to have enough game.
