Re: What's your shooting iron ?
lever action 44 and 44 revolver. bullets are the same so there's no confusion, it will kill anything I need it to, doesn't kick, not super heavy or bulky. and it's what I have to work with. currently building a semi custom 7mm long range rig, prolly won't get to use it with the dogs as much but we ...

Re: 2016 AZ Coues
Got Mr. Crabs back from the Taxidermist. I really like how it turned out. Trying to figure out how to display him. Anyone know of some cool Plaques that allow skulls with bottom jaws to be displayed without gluing? I would love to get one for him and my 2 javelina skulls. I did a shoulder mount ...

Re: Best state for all around hunting
I would say New Mexico or Arizona, both are very similar. As far as number of bears go, New Mexico takes it. But I don't plan on leaving my Great State of AZ anytime soon.

2016 AZ Coues
Wrapped up the year with an amazing time with some amazing people.
Saw this buck the second day of the hunt and decided to pass on him at that time to see what else I could find. Was seeing some does and smaller bucks. Second weekend of the hunt we glassed him up about 50 yards from where we saw ...

Trout fishing AZ unit 22
Hey guys, idk how many members here are from Arizona or know the unit but thought I'd ask here anyway. I drew the Dec coues tag for 22, and trying to save time and money but not bringing a ton of food with me. I would love to do some fishing. Does anyone know of any good little spots to catch a few ...

Re: Tanning hides
Thanks guy for the info. My ex just got back with me and I went over to the shop and he showed me what I needed to get and gave me some info and step by step processes. I'll be ordering the stuff and will hopefully update with a success story lol. I keep trying to post pix of the squirrels but the ...

Re: Tanning hides
Lee thank you very much.
I know how hard they are to get soft. They are not fun. I have two hides here that my now ex tanned for me and then brought home and we would work then while we watched tv. I'll try and post some pictures of the squirrels I have. If you don't have Aberts where you live and ...

Re: Tanning hides
Do you have a tanning solution that you prefer? And for smaller game how long do you let it soak before it's good?

Tanning hides
I am wanting to learn how to tan my own hides. As we speak I have 2 squirrels and a rabbit salting. However, there seems to be so many different way to tan hides, I've watched about 100 YouTube videos on the processes and honestly, I kinda got overwhelmed. So I figured maybe there is someone out ...

Sorry to hear that man. That's pretty bad. At least you know that you tried. That's all that matters. No one can force someone to be happy. Better now then later trust me.

Re: What a Shame
I can agree with coyotes to a point. I couldn't imagine how many rabbits would be around if the coyotes died off and how scattering with carcasses the woods would be. Coyotes do a pretty good job of playing clean up. As long as they leave my pups and calves alone they don't bother me much. Something ...
