Liz,
I am no radio expert by no means, but I believe the higher the wattage of VHF radio you use the better the range you will get out of it.

I have never seen a handheld that gets a 30 mile range though??

Take a minute...

Lets all take a minute on this 7th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the U.S. to remember those who died on 9/11/2001.

This is for all the ones who lost family and friends in that tragedy. They may be gone but never forgotten!!

Here is what I use and it works good for me. It sounds kinda like what your talking about? I like that fact that I still have bed space and don't need to take out the box everytime I want to haul something.

Don’t forget about the spandex wearing, granola eating, anti hunting, city slicking yuppies out there. Most of them think hunting a dog is cruel and mean and I have heard plenty of stories of berry pickers like that picking up hounds thinking they are “rescuing” them.
Heck a few years back I ...

I have to say its a toss up on which is my FAVORITE between that first bark getting the track started and when they get the jump and start pouring the coals to it!!

But hands down, the BEST part is when the last dog is loaded and you reach in the cooler and grab an ice cold one!! :D

Does she shake her head when she barks too?? I had a female that would shake her head when she ate and when she barked. Vet checked her and nothing wrong with her ears, he suggested cleaning her ears on a regular basis. I got some ear wash and cleaned her ears once a week. I didn't eliminate it 100 ...

Well it looks like now the DNR knows that the general puplic is in favor of a wolf season. 4,848 for and 772 against a season was the results of the spring hearing vote on the issue statewide Monday night.

At least its a step in the right direction!! :)
