Re: What Made These Tracks???
I'd say lab... could be chocolate or black, hard to tell without knowing the length of stride.
My guess is just a dog.

Re: Kemmer Curs ??
I've got two Kemmers run lion, bobcats, and coons with them. I won't ever own another hound again. Not saying thy are better than hounds, just a better fit for the way I hunt.
Smart, fast, handle well, GRITTY, and great with my young boys.

Re: Nat Geo Wild
I know the guys doing the show, I went to high school with one and have chased cats with him a few times. Great guy and the definition of hardcore. Good guys both of them can't wait to see the show. I have seen some of the raw footage and it is pretty impressive.

Re: Ear infection/Mites
For two weeks I cleaned Spook's ears everyday, morning and night and gave him his antibiotics. During this time we also changed to a food the vet recommended which has no corn. A month later and no more crap in his ears (infection, mite, canker, or whatever it was) and he is a much happier dog and ...

Re: How long did it take you to tree your first Bear, Lion,
For the first few years I worked my ass off with "broke" dogs I had been given. Never saw a cat in a tree unless one of my friends had one of their dogs on the track also.

Not me. Never even heard anyone claim to in person... and I've heard some pretty amazing claims.

Re: Ear infection/Mites
I appreciate the input everyone and I will be taking you up on that offer Doc. I have had dogs for 5 or 6 years now and am really interested in being able to diagnose and treat some of the more common ailments on my own. Not that I don't want to pay a vet or think I can do a better job it's just ...

Ear infection/Mites
I have a year and a half old Striker bred Kemmer cur who has been getting what I thought was ear mites since he was a pup. Well it really seemed to start bothering him lately and him shakin' his head all the time was driving me nuts so I have been doing a good job of getting drops in his ear every ...

Re: where were you
I was hunting elk in the Missouri River Breaks in my home state of Montana.
I woke up earlier than normal that morning. I had been chasing around a particular bull for a couple days and thought I finally had his number. He wasn't a huge bull, a really pretty six point, probably around 340ish but ...
