Re: lions fighting hounds at the tree.
It interested me coming across this post, earlier this year I turned loose on what I thought was a decent Tom and female. Long story short I had a split race 4 dogs went south over the ridge and treed the female, I had one dog go straight up the canyon and treed. So I decided to go to him first as I ...

Re: Lion Catch Numbers for a Season...
I think a lot depends on how people count, I know of a lot of guys that will catch a female and three kittens up the same tree and count that as four cats they treed in a day, and those numbers can add up in a hurry. I personally count how many trees i walk under, not how many cats are up in it.

Garmin DC 50?
I have heard rumors about the dc 50 collar coming out soon, has any one else heard anything? I am not too impressed with the dc 40 and the dc 30 are hard to find.

Re: Couple of lion questions?
I can't believe this has turned into such a topic, that cat has been treed by me or my buddies several times this year in the same canyon. I didn't pay much attention to it cause it is a smaller cat i thought for sure I seen a black dot around 4 inches under its ass, but I for sure noticed its notch ...

Re: Couple of lion questions?
No it's a young Tom, around 115-120 lbs. I've seen it in the tree, I can tell by his ear, that it is the same cat we treed about a week ago.

Re: Idaho Houndsmen need your help
I have read all of these posts and everyone is right, here in SE Idaho the lion population has suffered tremendesly, and needs the quota cut in half at least. I was just out in my area yesterday and one thing that is giving these lions a horrible name are cyotes. I found two fresh cyote kills in the ...

Re: steve phipps ccb what you think
I have heard good and bad about him, but from my personal experience he was very good to deal with and has checked in from time to time to see how my pup was doing wich now is one of my best dogs and certainly the best young dog I own, If I wasnt going to breed her I would get another from Steve.
