I started with Triggs in 1973, because they have better mouths (usually horn or bawl) and more endurance than running walkers. I needed a dog that would be ready to go tommorrow after a hard day today. Some are gritty some not, some tree some not, but I would say more tree minded than running ...

I extreme cold you run the risk of frost bite on teats of females and testes on male hounds if exposed for a long period of time. . I have had a couple of females loose teats.

Try going to the NAVHDA website. they will be able to direct you. I just judge a NAVHDA test where one was entered. Not the most intense pointer I've ever seen but liked the water.

Hello from Ontario

I live in Southern Ontario, Canada. Have had Triggs for 35 years. Run them on coyote and fox when the mange doesn't get 'em. Have used them for coon too. Like reading the cat and bear hunt stories.
