Re: BIG Arizona Tom!!

It's Southern Arizona. Matt Kyle and Bryant Ogle in the pic, two good friends of mine. I think it was caught around Greasewood and Silverbell in Tucson  if I remember right....

A Tom for TJ

Apparently the 4th time is the charm.

Our hunter for this trip TJ was originally supposed to fly in Friday night at 8:15pm from Milwaukee, I was coming out of the bear woods headed to Sky Harbor to pick him up when the phone started going crazy, he had missed his flight. This was going to be TJ's ...

Re: Jaguar Hunting

I also spent the month of January in Northwest Mexico hunting "leon" for a couple of ranchers.

We had lion tags that were issued to us from the Biologist out of Hermosillo, just like the coues deer, mule deer and sheep tags.

I spoke to an old leonero down there and he told me they used the ...

Re: Jaguar Hunting

Found a few little pieces of history this week. This is one of CJ's brochures from the 60's or 70's.

CJ's wife Dorothy passed away recently and our family has been cleaning out the old house they used to live in here in Eloy.

Sure does make me miss "Cowboy" and feel like I was born 50 years too ...

Mar 28- A good day for the puppies

Had been aftera lion for 4 days always seemed to be a day behind.

Had a camera on a kill and this lion checked on the kill at 10:07pm that night, left the kill by 10:20. So we had an 8 hour old dirt track yesterday morning, finally.

Dogs did great. 13 dogs and catching a lion in these rockpiles ...

Re: Worn and bleeding tails! How do I heal them?

Hey Matt are you talking about Kate? I used to put a rubber band on the end of her tail to stop the bleeding, works good. How is she working out for you? I hope she is doing the job for you.

I sure miss that dog, could have used her today!

Give me a call I have a new phone and have lost my phone ...

Re: Hunting Rig

Almost Benny, I snuck in last night and got my toyota out. It's just over Blue Peak and just past Blue Vista from us and it burned that whole bowl up in the head of Chitty. I apparently pissed the FS off, my boss was threatened with "Negative Permit Action" if we did not evacuate. We are still short ...

Leroys Arizona Dry Ground Tom

Had a hunter in for a lion hunt, dogs got the job done.

Me and my buddy daniel caught this tom yesterday he jumped 4 or 5 times, just an average young desert tom, but he was very wiley. But on the last day of the hunt he worked just fine. The client had been on two other lion hunts one for 10 days ...

Daves Arizona Snow Tom

My hunter Dave came in Friday for a late bear hunt, we had been having some warmer weather and some of the bears in the lower country were still out and about.

Saturday we trailed the big bear I had located for him but once the ground thawed we were done, couldn't trail anymore.

The next day it ...

Nice Arizona Bear

Caught this bear a couple weeks ago. I caught this same bear 2 years ago and he came down and really whipped my dogs, he came down again this year, but the dogs got the job done.
