Re: flir
Your making me Jealous!!! For 2 yrs now been wanting to get one for coon hunting. At least once if not more times every night out. End up at a tree where we just cannot see a thing. Tops of big thick pines where spotting anything in even on a bluebird day would be hard. There lies another problem. E...

Re: what snow machine you use?
Here is WI we cannot use ATV's for the most part. Esepcially on the snowmobile trails in the winter. I dont even own one because I cannot use one. Unless on a marked trail, frozen lake, or private property. So it's all sleds. I have been using any cheap junk I could afford. Been around a lot of othe...

Re: Astro 320,use of jpgs and memory/map question
There currently is no way to view a jpeg file on these systems. Might be one of those bells and whistles most dont want, or need. I could see using it once in awhile. In these systems the jpeg file is mostly used to save a screen shot. Which you then have to load to your computer to view. Yes, there...

Re: Astro 320 birdseye ?
You should be able to see it under the device. If not you will have to remove it using it like a drive. It will either be under the internal memory, or on the chip. Depending on where you put it. You do not want to go into basestation mode if you have it prompted. You will want to be in usb mode. Yo...

Re: Astro 320 birdseye ?
If it's on your computer you will see it listed under my collection. Highlight, or left click on the mapset you wish to transfer. Then right click and in the drop down menu select send to. From that drop down select the location you wish to send it to. In your case it will be the letter the memory c...

Re: Terrier Tracking Collars.
I don't know how big around the neck of your dogs are. But I know you can get the DC40 down to close to 2" around. 2.5"ID PVC pipe will use the second from last hole on the collar. A bit of modification on a 30 with dayglo collar could come close to the same thing. tt10 collars are going t...

Re: Garmin Alpha ya and nay?
By far the best system made!! Everything across the board has been improved. I can understand why folks may not upgrade if they already have a system from a cost standpoint. Even if you have the means, but hunt in a group. Everyone may not. If it's your first system, hunt alone, or first in the grou...

Re: Blood in stool
They key to your answer is that you were running the dog hard. When this occurred after. I'm betting that a few days after there was no longer blood in the stool. It's called colon slap. Dogs will get it when run hard. If not rested and you continue to run hard for days. It will get worse. Seen it a...

All I ever here from our state and the surrounding ones is. WE NEED MORE BEAR TAGS!! Every single year you will here this around these parts. Would guess it to be the same in other states. For the most part this is nothing more than greed for the need to kill something. Very few understand or will t...

Re: bells against wolves?
It may work for awhile in some cases. More often it will end it only being a dinner bell. Know a lot of folks that swear by them. Know a few folks that have had dogs killed while wearing them. One theory that I believe. Is that by not having them a dog may be able to get out silently undetected. Som...

Re: REDICULOUS!!!!what's the excuse!!!!! For killing sows!!!
Of course normally it is good practice to let the females go. Although there are times it is better for the population for a few to be removed that are still able to breed. Others are not capable of it anymore. Of course no way to tell that when the trigger gets pulled most of the time. However, I c...

Certainly sounds like that could be the issue. What maps are you using? What size is the chip?
