When training a young hound can you live trap a bobcat and let it go in an area you know and can see the trail it takes? I am not talking about letting the hound watch the cat run off. Where I grew up trappers are the only thing around. The only houndsmen I know of are coyote hounds(and sight hounds at that) A guy with good dry ground dog could really clean up on the bobs.
