Hound wheezing
I'm looking to buy a coon hound from a buddy of mine and the hound wheezes a lot it's almost like a smokers cough. He does it tied to a chain, rig even hunting a little bit but it doesn't seem to bother his performance at all. The guy doesn't have the money to bring him to the vet and that's the ...

Re: tri tronics
I'd would defiantly go with Tri-tronics classic 70 of trashbreaker I've used both, both were nice units.

Just wondering if anybody can give me some info on AI. Do they collect the same way as cows and horses? Whats its cost to have somebody collect and store it? Any info would help thanks.

Re: Traning
I have a CD that i play out of a radio I hook to my battery that has hounds barking, sirens and coyotes howling. I would say the sirens and then coyote howling has worked the best for me.

Re: Traning
Free cast just put a shock collar on her so if she trashes you can teach her a lesson. Around her after the snow comes off there's deer everywhere! In the summer I locate coyotes at night by calling and then dump the box on them it's a blast. It's real good for the pups the running is usually good ...

Re: dry ground yote hunting
I've found the running is just as good on bare ground as snow if the ground has some moisture in it. We catch some on bare ground but you also got to figure it's easier going for the coyote then it is in deep snow.

Re: 7 month old July
broncobilly, That's a great offer but i don't think i would be able to make it out this year with the little and lack of work. Also if you really wanted one i think you could find one a little closer but thanks a lot for the offer. Its July like the month.

Re: 7 month old July
haha.. It's kinda hard to explain and everybody has a different opinion but it's like a running walker with a more racer build and more grit in my opinion. I don't know how to post pics but look up on the net july hound page on vargy's message board

Re: Anyone run coyotes with cameron hounds ?
Got a buddy that runs one with cameron blood in him and he is the fastest tree hound I've ever seen. Plenty of speed, nose and mouth. This hound can almost keep up with a running walker! hahaha

7 month old July
I have a 7 month old full blooded July hound pup for sale. I picked this pup up in Missouri when I went out west to pick some pups last fall. This pup has been running loose at my place since he was a pup. I've got to many pups and with the poor conditions this winter I only got this pup out twice ...

Re: Catching coyotes
Some of the guys in my group run a running/tree hound cross and they do catch some but only in deep snow. They will catch a occasional one in less then ideal conditions. Myself I would rather catch coyotes then shoot them to me there is nothing like walking into the roar of 6-8 hounds baying a coyote.

Re: Yote numbers up or down?
Ya my group took 2nd and 4th for the 3rd year in a row but it will be our last the organizer seems to pocket more then he gives out which isn't right in my eyes. You should come up next winter and try it with hounds its usually more productive then calling. We killed 8 in a day twice this year and 6 ...

Badboy,
Mostly Addison but I also hunt a lot in Bridport, Shoreham, Sudbury and Brandon. Where do you hunt? You hunt with hounds?
