Garmin Alpha external power loss setting

I can't find a setting on the alpha that when you unplug it from a vehicle power source that it automatically stays on and doesn't shut off after 30 seconds. I know the 220s and 330s had a setting but not sure if the alpha does? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Northern Wisconsin Bobcats

Couple of videos from some cats this weekend. About a week ago we had a pretty good crust going but we got probally 6 inches of good stuff on top of that so the snow is really good for catching right now, After the jump most races are lasting maybe 10 min before they screw them down. Still good ...

And have been pleased with the pups out of the past litter, only having a couple cats get away so far. We finally found two ...

Re: Wolves / I guess ya'll saw this coming

Its amazing to me that how foolish some people are, why try to introduce and sustain a population of a species of animal that we know from past experience, from other parts of the country, are going to cause nothing but problems and cost everybody lots of money. Humans have got to be the dumbest ...

Re: Wheres the best place to hunt hogs?

Joker09 Do they allow hog pens in minnesota and if so do you know of any? They have outlawed them in wisconsin and now michigan and I have found it to be an excellent training aid for bear dogs and like to find somewhere close to train.

Re: How many dogs do you need to hunt BOBCATs

Just interested to know why down south more dogs is better? I hunt cats in northern wisconsin, in some real nasty country, and your a lot more effective with one or two GOOD dogs then a bunch, the reason up here is those cats are doubling back on the track and walkin on blowdown for a long time ...

Last year while cold-trailing an average sized cat, I came across where the cat and a slightly smaller than average fisher had a squabble and in that instince that cat won the fight.

Re: Whis is harder to hunt?

It takes one hell of a dog to catch bobcats consistently. Thery are a bitch too catch in the tag alder blowdown swamps in northern wisconsin. But if you happen to get them in some open popples are just a swamp with no blowdown it makes life a lot easier on the dogs. But like Brents pictures show ...

Re: Sending Burned up Astro to Garmin

Thanks for the info, someone sent me a pm telling me about the antenna connection and that makes perfect sense because the only difference between me and the other guys I hunt with is Im constantly changing antennas and they have a gamin for the truck and one for the woods.

Sending Burned up Astro to Garmin

I have burned up a second garmin in the past 3 months, both of them brand new. I run way out of the Garmin Freq. and only use the handheld antenna and am very careful not to be close to the radio when I talk, also I run on low watts. 3 other guys have truck mount antennas hooked to there garmin I ...
