is it a bad idea to brand an ear of a pup that is six mo. old? just wondering if the ear will grow and distort the brand.

what kind of characters are in the brand, something like mine which is just an arrow and bar should not get too distorted if the pup hits a major growth spurt, but something like an S, of G may

I have branded mine at 6 months and didn't have a problem. She was a smaller hound though and my design is pretty simple.

The brand is a "JD" and I don't think the dog will hit a major growing spurt again.
