what kind of characters are in the brand, something like mine which is just an arrow and bar should not get too distorted if the pup hits a major growth spurt, but something like an S, of G may

I have branded mine at 6 months and didn't have a problem. She was a smaller hound though and my design is pretty simple.

The brand is a "JD" and I don't think the dog will hit a major growing spurt again.
