Well, I guess they got an older strike from Butch, and let them down to figure it out. Didn't take too long before he figured out which way it went. Then dropped the tailgate. The pups took off opening on track, and right up with the other dogs. They went out of hearing quickly. It took them a while to find em, and the dogs covered a lot of ground. But were treed when they located them.
Upon arrival at the tree, all of the older dogs were there; and the two female littermates Aspen and Sassy were there treed solid. When the bear hit the ground, Aspen was on it like she'd been doing it her whole life.
Buster got picked up crosing the road, he was way behind, but was still opening and moving the track coming off the hill. Not sure why they picked him up and didn't let him go, but a few people had left for the tree already, so they decided to catch him. But he'd already gone a long way from where they started. He did a fine job and we still couldn't be more proud.
Someone decided they wanted to tag the bear, and Craig isn't much of the photographer. But he did manage to get one picture of the bear. No pictures of the dogs though
