Re: Grade hunt 2/7/09

never been involved with any sanctioned event before and was wondering how it worked. I live in Yelm and have a couple hounds that I would like to get involved with. Please let me know how this works. I did go to the event you had in December just to check it out.

i have to agree that we are our own worst enemy...

now I know what I have been doin wrong all these years, get the bear drunk before you run em...great strategy, although I probably would have used a cheaper beer on the bear and saved the good stuff for the dogs

The info I have is the model 722 was manufactured from 1948-1962 and only around 118,000 of the rifles were made. It also says that the 257 was only produced in 1948. I'm not gonna put a value on it as you can tell it's probably worth a little bit of coin. As far as caliber goes it's a 25 caliber ...

Shot a couple of nice muley bucks with his and none ever knew what hit them. all got knocked right over. as you said it will never be a beanfield rifle but for close range ...

I've got a Browning Lever action in 358.....its not the most popular caliber but I've handloaded some Nosler Partition 225 grains in it and it does an outstanding job....as you now its basically a 308 necked up to 35 caliber. up to 150 yards it is devastating....not a lot of recoil, small compact ...

The game dept has set quotas for certain Eastern Wa counties to receive an allotment of "damage control" cat hunts. These tags are for only a few counties in NE ...
