OTHA first water race of the year coming up! Please attend

We are having our first water race of the year on May 21st and 22nd out in Matlock at the pond. As soon as I get a flyer for the event I will post it on here, Just thought I would give ya'all a heads up so you can plan for it. We are also having our monthly meeting saturday night (instead of friday night) after the event for those of you who are OTHA members. We will be voting in a new member! YAY

Bear Race
$10.00 entry fee
Bear entries close @ 9:00a.m., race to start @10:00
Track laid with commercial scent, hide in tree
Water Race
$8.00 entry fee
Reentries each day
Treeing Contest
$6.00 entry
Points and payout to top five dogs

Closing of Field and Tree entries will be announced

Directions (from I-5):
1. Take exit 104 to merge onto US-101 N - 19.7 mi
2. Take the exit toward Matlock - 0.3 mi
3. Turn left at W Railroad Ave - 292 ft
4. Continue onto W Shelton Matlock Rd - 15.2 mi
5. Turn right at W Beeville Rd - 2.3 mi
6. Turn left at W Beeville Loop Rd - 1.7 mi
Signs will be out from Matlock Store

Hey I have a few questions. About it. So do I have to be a member to go to the event? Also how many peoples hounds bark at night, just cuz I don't to be the only person there with a dog barking? Hahha thanks for the help

No you do not have to be a member to go to any trials and to participate, but if your hound wins any event and you want points you do have to be a member of a club or the wa. state hound council. As for hounds barking, trust me-you wouldnt be the only one LOL. Hope to see you there

Water race is this saturday! Hope to have a big turn-out, club meeting will be held saturday night at the pond for all OTHA members. I will be putting the signs out on my way to the pond, probably sometime between 6-7pm for those of you who don't know the way.
