UKC FT/BS/NH this weekend

Post by Libby »

Should have been poking in more often and posting stuff...but do want to get the word out the Washington State Coonhound Assoc. is having it's State Championship Field Trial, Bench Show and Nite Hunt this Saturday. Very cool, big and personalized trophies.

I know Dustin posted it, but I'll copy and paste again 8)

Washington State Coonhound Assoc.
December UKC 12/13/08
FT 1PM, BS 3PM, NH 8PM $10 entry each.
From north or southbound, off WA-507 halfway between Yelm, WA. and Rainier, WA.
Turn at the second Koeppen Rd, bear right and turn in first driveway on the right. Signs posted.
12121 Koeppen Road, Yelm WA 98597

This is straight from the UKC site.

We'll be having a club meeting between the BS and NH.

Nikki has shaken the tree of a few who haven't been around for a while so one never knows who'll be there...hope anyone in Washington and Oregon with hounds will make the push to come out. Gas has gotten cheap, cheap, cheap :)

Thanks,
Libby

Thanks to everyone who came out Saturday. It was great seeing so many new faces and new faces coming back again!

Despite threatening weather, the FT and BS each had 11 dogs (and not the exact same 11!) and wonderful weather! There were three dogs registered for the NH, one in each class. They are still out as I type. I heard a treed dog when I called my husband a few minutes ago. Won't say which cast and don't know if it was good or not... That all casts are still out 5 hours later tells me nobody scratched or got too cold and bailed out! It was snowing when they left, but clear as a bell now.

I'll post more and pictures on the WSCA website when I get home.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Bobbie and I really wanted to come but man it wasn't safe to be anywhere near a road over here yesterday.Still digging out drifts today to feed horses.Congrats to all the winners.
The reason I hunt this blood is a quote a friend gave me,"Your either making dust or your eating it."

Got all the pictures up on photobucket. Nora, you can go there and pull off what you want. The picture for your trophy was printed last night and Nikki will get it to you with the personalized plate for the trophy.

Congrats to you on your win...and all the other winners, too.

Oh, Pony treed a nice one with three coons clearly visible, so plus points came back for the NH.

Glad you and Mel made it back safe and sound. We got home about 1 1/2 hours before the snow socked us.
