Need help getting a dog
Hey guys and gals. I have a black and tan; I need help getting from the salt lake area to the four corners. If any of you are traveling that way for the holidays I could sure use some help. I would be happy to help with gas! If you’re not coming all the way down here a partial ride for her would ...

Re: NEW MEXICO HOUNDMENS
I would also like to see a spring bear hunt. It would give us a lot more time in the woods with our dogs and they wouldn't be so full of rust by the time the fall season rolls around. I believe it would also help as a deterrent and would make bears more prone to stay away from inhabited areas.

Re: The Legends??? Lets see what is Fact and what is Legend!
My grandpa followed the hawk most of his life. He hunted all over the country and canada and has had the opportunity to hunt just about everything in North America. He retired at the age of 46 in a little cabin along the San Juan River. He is now 80 yrs old and has been hunting, trapping, and ...

Re: growley dogs
I got a 3 year old that w as very growly towards other dogs and even me at times. Had enough of him when he snapped at me due to a dog in heat. Had him castrated and now he is the friendliest dog I got and decided he wanted to hunt instead of chasing tail and growlin at other dogs. Best thing I ever ...

Also keep in mind that Law enforcement only needs to meet the reasonable suspicion requirement to stop or make contact with someone. They need probable cause in order to search, apply for a warrant, or arrest someone. Sounds to me like this officer had more than enough in this case.

Re: What are the odds of this?
Thanks Mike, It was a great day to be in the hills. To be honest I was pretty disappointed that the lion got killed on the road but was very proud of what the dogs accomplished. I knew in my head that we were after a dead lion but my heart kept hoping we would jump him in the end. The dogs have ...

Re: How long did it take you to tree your first Bear, Lion,
I have been at it for over two years and have seen two cats in a tree which my dogs had no part in. Started my first solo dirt lion track yesterday but ended up losing it when it warmed up. My experienced dog which I didn't get till after last season broke her leg in a bear race this year and isn't ...

The top rack was never designed for dogs just cargo. I agree that it is to tall to put dogs on top.

Re: are hounds livestock?
I'm not saying I agree with the way the law is written, I'm just saying that it is the way it is. Our animal control officers always try to work with people that have livestock when loose dogs come onto their property by bringing out traps and citing the owners of the dogs. As far as an animal ...
